From digital platforms: When you visit our websites, use the Pila App and Pila software applications, or interact with our social media pages, including when you make a purchase, opt into newsletters, or register your Pila product.
From your Pila Account: When you purchase and register a Pila product, a mobile app account will be associated with your product.
From payment platforms: Such as Shopify or Stripe, including payment details necessary to process transactions securely such as credit related information, date of birth, bank routing information when you make a purchase directly from Pila.
From other sources: Such as our certified installers, resellers, sales, and marketing partners.
From your device or browser: Usage Data is sent automatically whenever you visit our Service or when you access the Service through a mobile device. This may include information such as your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, website interactions, and diagnostic data. If you access the Service via a mobile device, we may collect additional details such as your mobile operating system, mobile browser type, and unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

We may collect information from or about your Pila products or your home from you, from your electric utility, via a Pila certified installer partner, or from the product itself (directly or via paired equipment, such as a solar inverter). This includes but is not limited to:
Product performance data: Used to provide and continually improve our products and services. This includes configuration and setup information, data related to product performance and use (e.g., battery efficiency, solar production, and other energy data), home energy consumption, and other diagnostic data.
Product installation information: Includes setup date, serial number(s), and optional home configuration information used to improve our Services.
If you do not wish for Pila to collect performance or other personal information from your Pila products, please contact us using the information in the "Contact Us" section below. Please note that opting out of performance data collection may prevent Pila from identifying and notifying you of product functionality or performance issues and may impact certain features such as software updates, may result in reduced performance, damage, or inoperability.

Please note, the terms and privacy policies of any third party partners will govern your use of those products and services.
With service providers: We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), provide the Service on our behalf, perform Service-related services or assist us in understanding how our Service is used. These third parties have access to your personal information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
With advertising & analytics providers: We may share anonymized, aggregated data for service improvements. We and our third party advertisers and analytics providers may use cookies and other technologies through our Services to support or deliver personalized advertising on third-party websites and online services.

If data is transferred internationally by third-party service providers, we ensure compliance with applicable U.S. privacy laws. Pila does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we become aware that we have collected data from a child without verification of parental consent, we will delete it immediately.
Do Not Track (DNT) Signals
Pila does not respond to "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. However, you can manage tracking preferences through your browser settings.
